I am so happy to finally present this campaign to you! Back in December I was so fortunate to be working with the innovative brand Cocoro Intim. It's a brand new lingerie company that sells a product based on the latest fabric technology, which it is completely absorbent. They call it "period lingerie" because it is to use as a replacement for tampons, cups and pads during your cycle. In fact, I had to use it for an emergency when I was travelling to Paris Fashion week and had forgotten my ladycup. For three days and 3 nights, I wore this lingerie while I had my period and it worked perfectly, no leaking what so ever! Before that I was skeptical, but that was all the proof I needed.

In today's video I am talking a bit about how I started modeling at age 25, and the main things I would recommend a beginner to implement. In today's day and age, it is never to late to start modeling, and even though I thought it was late, I am so grateful that I gave it a go! Here I am today, many jobs, travels and wonderful experiences later.

1. Get to know what type of model you are
Are you a high fashion, commercial, curvy or petite model? Know your type and then look for agencies that represent your type. These are the agencies you want to apply to.
2. Get lots of experience.
Do lots of photoshoots, even if for free. But always find a professional or upcoming photographer as you want to make sure that you can learn and get good material from it. It is best if you can find the photographers from agencies or art schools. Instagram is another tool to look up photographers in your area.
3. Be nice.
Learn a bit of ettiquette and how to be around people. There is a lot of competition in this industry, and many jobs are through someone who knows someone. The nicer you are, the better and impression you leave people with, and the more likely they are to recommend you. Kindness is a strategy. But also know when to say no, and never do something that does not feel right. Know your own values and boundaries before you enter the industry. This is one major benefit I have had from starting late. I know when to say no and I am confident enough to do so.
4. Learn what diet works for you and move your body
Healthy lifestyle is key. Your body and face is your product, so experiment with different health regimes until you find one that makes you feel and look optimal. Always focus on health, not restriction. Some of the best models do not restrict their intake, they simply know how to eat healthy and in accordance with their body.
5. Get a role model
Find one or more models in the industry whom you really look up to. Use them as inspiration. Sometimes there will be challenges, then it helps to have something that inspires you to keep going. For me it is Candice Swanepoel, she gives me eternal inspiration and I keep her image in my house and as a background on my computer to keep myself inspired!
What a crazy year so far! Not to even talk about the epidemic going on right on, I am going to focus on bringing my power back to this moment and to the things that matter right now. More talk on the Corona will come soon!
To look at the positive side of things, I went to both London and Paris Fashion week for the first time this year, and had some truly wonderful experiences. London fashion week was such a proof of the Law of Attraction for me, as I had simply followed my feeling of when to go to London, and, without knowing it, went exactly the days that it was London Fashion Week. By spending a morning in London intensely sending emails, I mananged to not only get one, but 3 invites for shows and presentations! It was one of those moments of complete awe, gratitude and wonder for the Universe and the gifts it brings. When you find your purpose, and work together with the Universe, magical things start to happen. And this was definitely one of them!
That's why I decided to document it all (which I had decided even before I knew anything about LFW). I hope this may of inspiration for you guys, the more aligned we can all be, the more we can co-create a beautiful and blessed world together. Enough of competition and fighting, let's give space for higher powers to work with us. It is our choice and I know which choice I have made!

I want to update you guys on the month of July in terms of modeling, as it was quite an exciting month! I did 5 shoots in total, two for Cocoro, two for independt brands such as Meller and Paris Yin, and one as a beauty shoot for one of my friends. I am especially grateful to continue my work with Cocoro, which is a brand I really support, and it is wonderful to be the representative of something that is in alignment with your values! Another shoot I was especially excited for, was the shoot for Paris Yin, a botique luxury handbag brand. I love their bags and it is such an amazing feeling to model for something that you love! Albeit it doesn't always happen so I do enjoy it when it does! You can see all my photos from the shoot on my portfolio and on their Instagram page as well.
For the month of July, I have given you guys some tips on my YouTube channel on how to do well at castings! We have also discussed the issues of some models who have come out admitting to their eating disorders due to the pressure of the industry, and how that is the main reason why I am so passionate about being a healthy body positive acitivist in the modeling industry.
For the whole of 2020 I have decided to do something very special. It's an important time for us to take of each other and our planet, so I have decided that I am going to donate 25 Euro to one tree planted, for every booking made via my website. We just talked about London, and now it is time to touch on Paris, the beautiful city of Love
As I gained confidence from being invited to London Fashion Week, I thought "why not see if I can do Paris as well!".
Albeit, Paris is the biggest fashion capital when it comes to fashion week, but this didn't stop me. I decided to write every single designer on the main show list, and lo and behold, I got an invite! Valentin Yudashkin was so kind to invite me to his show, which is and was a big honor and he is a world-renowned Couture designer.
Again, I experienced beautiful and magical Law of Attraction moments, as I actually was not able to get the ticket at the moment. As it turned out, someone decided to suggest buying it for me, which is a beautiful manifestation! Also when being there, I was guided beautifully. I made some silly mistakes, but I learn from them, and I address that in my second video, with the intention that it may inspire you guys on your personal journey.
